Political responsibility will lead to national stability, New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis said at Syntagma Square on Friday night in his party’s main campaign speech before Sunday’s elections, “with the mature choice of every Greek voter who seeks stability and prosperity for themselves and their children,” at the ballot box, ANA reports.
Referring to the May 21 elections in which his party won all but a few regions of Greece, Mitsotakis noted, “Greece is blue and will remain blue after Sunday’s elections,” and added that ND “represents all classes and all ages.”
Speaking at his party’s last political event before the runoff elections on June 25, the ND leader referred to specific actions of the party’s policies that benefited young people, freelancer/independent business owners, and farmers. “It is no accident that our country is covered in blue,” he said, referring to the party color, “showing its deeply popular nature.” Voters turned their back to toxic campaigning and divisive politics “to reward a government that remains consistent between promises and actions, and honest before its mistakes,” he pointed out.
