Making it possible for Greeks abroad to vote from their place of residence is an “act of national responsibility”, Interior Minister Niki Kerameus said on Thursday, following a working meeting at the ministry with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, ANA reports.
She announced that a draft bill that seeks to lift previous restrictions for Greeks that are on the electoral rolls and are permanently or temporarily living abroad will be revealed for public consultation on Monday.
“We consider it an act of national responsibility, an act that is above parties and factions, to give a stronger voice to Greek citizens who live abroad,” she said.
