U.S. Senator Robert Menendez from New Jersey, a prominent Democrat and staunch supporter of Greece, was celebrated today at a luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Serving as the current chair of the US Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee, Menendez is touring Athens and Cyprus, ANA reports.
The gathering, which included Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandra Papadopoulou and the U.S. Ambassador to Athens, George Tsunis, centered on Greek-American ties and the evolving dynamics of the wider region.
