By decision of the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, a Coordination Group – Task Force is established and formed at the Ministry of Tourism to monitor, coordinate and accelerate the implementation of the Actions and Projects, which have been included in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0”, and for which the Ministry has been designated as the Responsible Body.
The Coordinator of the Group is Zikos Konstantinos, a revocable employee serving in the Private Office of the Minister of Tourism, with Koutsoukou Vasiliki, Secretary General of Tourism Policy and Development, as deputy.
The work of the Coordination Group includes the following:
-The coordination, monitoring, and acceleration of the implementation of the projects of Actions 16931 “Tourism Development” and 16921 “Tourism Education”, for which the implementing bodies have been designated as Services of the Ministry of Tourism.
– the coordination, monitoring, and acceleration of the implementation of the individual parts of the contracts of the projects, for which the Technical Chamber of Greece is assigned the duties of implementing body,
– the coordination, monitoring, and acceleration of the implementation of Action 16785 “Development of a Digital Register of Tourism Enterprises (e-MHTE)”, for which the Information Society has been designated as the implementing body, pursuant to a relevant Programmatic Agreement, and the Ministry of Tourism as the operating body
– the coordination, monitoring, and acceleration of the implementation of the Action “Digital Transformation of the Hellenic National Tourism Organization”, for which the Technical Chamber of Greece has been designated as the implementing body and the Hellenic National Tourism Organization as the operating body
The responsibilities of the Coordinator include:
– communication with the Special Recovery Fund Coordination Service (EFSTA) of the Ministry of Finance, regarding the implementation progress and coordination of the Actions and Projects under the responsibility of the Ministry of Tourism,
– communication, as appropriate, with the Ministry of Tourism and the Hellenic Tourism Council, in the context of monitoring and effective implementation of the projects under the responsibility of the Ministry of Tourism,
– convening meetings of the Working Group, in order to be informed about the implementation progress of the projects,
– cooperation with the Project Management Officers of the Actions,
– informing the Minister of Tourism regarding the progress of the implementation of the projects,
– the ability to request assistance from public and private bodies, as appropriate, where required.
Based on the above and for the management needs of the Program, a subgroup responsible for the issues of fraud and corruption, conflict of interest and double funding is being established, headed by the Deputy Head of the Quality Standards Directorate and member of the Coordination Group – Task Force, Kiamou Maria, consisting of 6 members.
