The 11th Interdisciplinary Conference of the Metsovo Interdisciplinary Research Center of the National Technical University of Athens (MEKDE-NTUA), which will be held in Metsovo from 25 to 27 September 2025, will be attended by the Member of Parliament for the Dodecanese and President of the Committee of Regions of the Parliament, Manos Konsolas.
The Conference, which is under the auspices of the D.E. of the President of the Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas, has as its theme: “Thesis, research and actions for the regeneration of mountainous and isolated areas”, which brings together representatives of the scientific community, the state and local government.
Mr. Konsolas, in his capacity as President of the Committee of the Regions and the Subcommittee on Mountainous Areas of the Parliament, will focus on the need to formulate a National Development Plan for mountainous and remote areas with the aim of adopting sustainable policies and strengthening life in local communities.
