Under the chairmanship of the Member of Parliament for the Dodecanese, Mr. Manos Konsolas, the meetings of the Special Standing Committee on Regions (September 23, 2025) and the Subcommittees on Island and Mountainous Areas (September 24, 2025) of the Parliament were held.
The rapporteurs – members of the Committees from all parties, presented their proposals on the issues that concerned the Committees during the 2nd Session of the 20th Parliamentary Period. The relevant reports were approved by majority, in accordance with article 43A par. 6 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament.
In a statement, the President of the Committee of the Regions, Mr. Manos Konsolas, emphasized: “The Committees of the Parliament are not only institutions. They contribute substantially to the cultivation of public debate and can feed national policy with proposals and solutions. The reports that were approved by a majority constitute a legacy and a tool to shape sustainable policies that will lead to Regional Development, the strengthening of insularity and mountainousness.”
