Tornosnews research into international brokerage websites identified 12 private islands in Greece up for sale.
The are mostly non-developed islands and their prices range from 4.5 to 40 million euros.
Some of them can be turned into luxury holiday resorts through the development of tourism facilities, diving centers, and accommodation establishments.
The list of the islands and some indicative selling prices follows:
1. Patroklos Island
2. Strongili island, near Maratho, Aegean | 4.5 million euros
3. Sophia island, part of Echinadon island complex
4. Makri island in the center of the Ionian Sea, on southern Echinades
5. Private island in North Aegean Sea, 30 minutes from Athens by fast ferry | 35 million euros
6. Doulichio, in the Ionian Sea, near the entrance of the Corinth Gulf of Corinth, part of Echinades | 40 million euros
7. Kardiotissa island which can be converted into a summer resort near Folegandros and Sikinos islands | 6.5 million euros
8. Lower Antikeri Amorgos island
9. Tragonisi
10. Vouvalos island, Amvrakikos Gulf
11. Agios Thomas, Diaporii Islands cluster in the Saronic Gulf | 15 million euros
