London-based Greek designer Mary Katrantzou will be debuting her new designs in a special fashion show at the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, according to greekreporter.com.
The designer will be co-hosting the show along with the Association of Friends of Children with Cancer (ELPIDA). The fashion show will benefit the charity, along with symbolizing a return for Katrantzou to her Greek roots.
This is not the only time Katrantzou’s work will be on display in Greece this year. Her designs will be prominently featured at the Ancient Theater of Epidaurus on August 24, in a dance performance titled “The Thread”. Oscar-winning composer Vangelis is providing the music for the show.
She announced the fashion show after the proposition was approved by Greece’s Central Archaeological Council (KAS).
Even though KAS has not yet announced details about how many people the show will be able to accommodate, they have given the green light for the show to go ahead at the Temple of Poseidon.
