Kefalogianni engaged in discussions with top-ranking officials from American travel organizations and airlines.
Furthermore, she convened with members of the Greek diaspora and granted interviews to media channels.
In particular, she met with Matt Goldberg, CEO of the widely recognized travel platform TripAdvisor, to explore opportunities for boosting collaboration between the company, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).
A working meeting was held to attract the same audience, featuring Jennifer Wilson-Buttigieg Executive Director/Head of Travel Policy at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Subsequently, the minister met with Matthew Jones, Regional Sales Director for the United States and Canada at Emirates Airlines.
Prospects for expanding cooperation, including the implementation of a long-term strategic promotional program, were also discussed with Peter Vlitas, Vice President of the Internova Travel Group.
Moreover, a meeting took place with Sean Murphy, vice-president of Product Marketing & Strategy at Virtuoso, a luxury travel advisors group, as well as a meeting with Theo Yedinsky, global campaign director of the short-term rental platform Airbnb.
Discussions also touched on the latest developments in the international tourism market and the prospect of holding a global conference of the organization in our country. Kefalogianni further discussed these matters with Greg O’Hara President of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
Kefalogianni was also interviewed on Bloomberg’s radio network and by Greek-American entrepreneur and owner of WABC Radio station John Catsimatidis.
