The bimonthly July-August 2025 issue of the most important magazine for luxury tourism and lifestyle in France, Désirs de Voyages, was released with a special tribute to Santorini.
The report is signed by the travel editor, Magali Frère, who visited the island from May 8 to 13, 2025, as part of a press trip, organized by the French National Tourist Office with the valuable assistance of the Municipality of Thira and the President of the Municipal Council, Georgia Nomiko.
“An island like no other”
The 6-page tribute entitled “The best of Santorini – The impressive island of the Cyclades” presents all the aspects of luxury, wellness and well-being that the island offers, as well as the excellent gastronomy with its unique variety of wines, which make it a land of flavors for the French public.
“It is undoubtedly the most famous of the Cyclades, the postcard island par excellence. With its volcanic beaches and its black and pale rocks, on the highest peak of which small white villages “stand”, it is like no other, the editor characteristically notes.
