“Local Production & Hospitality” company continued presentations to promote the new «We do local» standard certification for tourist units. The certification was presented during the 2nd International Exhibition of Greek Tourism EXPO 2015 at the Metropolitan Expo to various Greek tourism institutions and executives as well as consumers.
Tourism professionals who attended the exhibition, which was held for the second year in Greece had the opportunity to learn about this new model, procedures and benefits of certifying their business with this, by Local Production & Hospitality’s CEO Andreas Metaxas and Cosmocert’s AE Quality Management Director Elina Karamichou.
The presentation was held with the support of the Athens-Attica & Saronic Gulf Hoteliers Association and the Hellenic Hotels Chamber.
Local culture promotion
The new accreditation body has been set up in collaboration with tourist professionals of the island of Crete. The annual certification will initially be given to accommodation services. It aims to promote local culture and cuisine, support local producers and human resources and respect the environment.
