An airtickets survey shows that 76% of Greeks in love wish to receive a surprise trip as a gift for Valentine’s Day, while 46% prefer to travel in a European city and, of course, Paris remains the most attractive destination for a romantic long weekend.
Despite economic distress, more than half of the participants in the survey appeared willing to spend from 100 € up to 300 € on an airline flight for a trip designed to celebrate St. Valentine’s Day.
According to the survey, culinary travels are quite popular with couples in love. One third of respondents is eager to take part in a gastronomy or wine tasting event during St. Valentine’s Day.
New TV campaign
The survey was created and inspired by airtickets® new TV campaign, aiming to inspire people to travel around the world.
It was conducted among 12,258 women (68%) and 5,761 men (32%) who also participated in a lottery to win two airline tickets for Paris.
Data was collected from airtickets® through a questionnaire between February 1-7 2016 and 18, 019 respondents participated in total.
