Santorini is among the top 20 honeymoon destinations in the world, according to readers of the leading travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller.
Santorini ranked 16th in the Readers’ Choice Awards 2015 that were announced on Sunday. The magazine describes the island as follows:
“Blazing white-and-deep-blue cliffside homes, ancient vineyards, and beaches of red volcanic sand…it’s no wonder readers say Santorini has stunning views and unsurpassed beauty. Catch the sunset in Oia and be sure to visit Akrotiri, a 3,500-year-old Minoan town preserved in volcanic ash (like Pompeii) on the southern part of the island.”
