Halkidiki, Mykonos and Santorini are the top preferences of Greek travellers for the upcoming Holy Spirit Monday holiday according to booking and price comparison site Trivago, that recorded what Greeks have been searching online for their long weekend getaway.
Halkidiki ranked first this year knocking Mykonos from first to second place while Santorini ranks third on the list and fourth and fifth places are occupied by Athens and Thessaloniki.
The only foreign destination chosen by the Greeks for their long weekend getaway is Rome, which ranks sixth on the list. The remaining spots on the list are occupied by Lefkada, Parga, Chania and Thassos in that order as shown below:

The Holy Spirit Monday holiday is on June 20 this year and the searches were carried out by Greeks from March 1 to June 14 regarding trips within the June 17-21 period.
