EOT launches Greece's new campaign in global travel markets

The Greek National Tourist Organisation (GNTO) has launched a new campaign to promote Greece in the world markets, attract more tourists and extend the touristic season, its secretary general Dimitris Tryfonopoulos said.

Tour operators have already extended the touristic season from 180 to 215 days,” Tryfonopoulos said in a recent conference of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE).

In statements to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, Tryfonopoulos underlined that Greece is advertised in selective international media and added that all promotional acts are carried out with the 1/20 of the competitive markets’ budget.

The Greek tourist organisation makes use of specialised tailor made tools and is included in the advertising programmes of major international tour operators. Greek destinations are also promoted through the Inflight’s of large airline companies such as United airlines, Lufthansa, Emirates, Aeroflot as well the inserts of magazines (T-magazine) and newspapers (New York Times).

Moreover, the website visitgreece.gr is being updated and special audiovisual and digital material, including videos, are being uploaded for free use on the internet.
