Travel Counsellors reports spike in all-inclusive bookings – Greece among top destinations

Travel Counsellors has reported an increase in all-inclusive packages swayed by the spiraling cost of living, ttgmedia.com reports.

The homeworking brand noted 26% of bookings made since January were for all-inclusive holidays, compared to 20% for the same period in 2019. The brand estimates 70% of its customers “are considering” this type of package.

Overall, in 2022, 11% of Travel Counsellors packages were for all-inclusive trips compared to only 6% in 2019.

The most popular all-inclusive destinations are the Maldives, Greece, and the Caribbean.

Jim Eastwood, Travel Counsellors’ global sales director, pointed out: “All indicators show that we expect this trend to rise throughout the year as customers continue to make their holidays a priority, while at the same time wanting to manage their spend and have greater flexibility – which can often be done more effectively by booking an all-inclusive trip.”

The brand has seen rising sales numbers each month since the start of its financial year in November 2022, pinpointing the trend for tailor-made travel as the reason. UK leisure sales have risen to £287 million, with £484 million coming from group leisure and corporate sales.
