The habits, choices and trends that characterize Greeks this summer are outlined by the new Panhellenic Survey by Focus Bari, with data from YOUGOV Profiles. Here are the main conclusions:
One in four Greeks will not go on vacation this year, mainly due to uncertainty and financial constraints.
Clean beaches, a calm atmosphere and affordable prices are the main selection criteria, while natural beauty and local gastronomy play a catalytic role.
Average vacation cost: €446 per person | Average duration: 9 days – Greeks are squeezing time and expenses, with almost €50 per day per person without giving up the need for rest.
For Greeks, vacations mean authenticity, intimacy, mental upliftment and not absolute offline, at least for one in three!
