Turnover value index for transport up by 19.5% in Cyprus during Q3

The turnover value index of transport and storage for the third quarter 2018 was up by 19.5% on annual basis, with air transport recording an impressive increase of 137.3%, data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service, on Tuesday, show, CNA reports. 

According to the figures by economic activity, an increase of 137.3% was recorded in air transport, 3.5% in land transport, 1.3% in postal and courier activities and 0.2% in warehousing and support activities for transportation. 

At the same time, a fall of 2.6% was observed in water transport over the same quarter of 2017.

The turnover value index of transport and storage for the period January-September 2018 recorded a rise of 11.4% compared to the same period of 2017.
