The Federation of Gas Station Owners in a letter on Wednesday to Deputy Finance Minister Katerina Papanatsiou noted that the continuation of a high special tax and VAT on fuel, imposed since the start of the economic crisis, exert negative pressure on society, enterprises, growth and the citizens, ANA reports.
It also stressed that in a country such as Greece, with the lowest incomes and the highest taxes and contributions on an EU level, retail prices for fuel are high, placing Greece among the highest positions for fuel prices among European countries.
