The Central Archaeological Council approved by a majority the request of “Attiko Metro SA” to temporarily remove and reposition antiquities in ‘Venizelos’ station as part of the construction of the Thessaloniki metro, after a marathon meeting of about 14 hours, according to ANA.
The first message of the Central Archaeological Council’s (CAC) decision is that after five years of adventures, the issue is dealt again with seriousness, Attiko metro president Nikos Tahiaos announced on Thursday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency’s radio station Praktoreio 104.9 FM.
