Athens International Airport achieved a 15,9% increase in passenger traffic in November, compared to the same month in 2014 accommodating nearly 1.2 million travelers.
Domestic passengers experienced high growth levels of around 20.2%, while international passengers increased significantly by 13.3%.
The January-November period ended with an increase of 19.6% and 16.9 million passengers.
Domestic and international traffic
Domestic traffic increased by 22.7% and international traffic by 17.9% with Greek travelers increasing by 12% and foreigners by 26%.
During November, Athens International Airport serviced 11.600 flights, a 9% rise compared to November 2014.
Both domestic international flights increased, by 6.8% and 10.7% respectively.
In total, the number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first eleven months reached 164.3 thousand and recorded an increase of 14.4% compared to the same period of 2014, with an increase in both arms, domestic and foreign, by 11.6% and 16.6% respectively.
