Union strike to disrupt Greek flights on Friday

A 24-hour strike called for Friday January 8 by the Union representing staff of the Federation οf Associations οf Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (OSYPA) is expected to result in some delays and dsiruptions to flights in Greece’s regional airports.

The union decided the action to coincide with a hearing by the Council of State’s plenary session of the union’s appeal against the government’s plans to privatize regional airports.

OSYPA took the legal action jointly along with regional authorities as well as bar associations and business groups across the country.
