New flights from British full-service and low-cost carriers will open up popular destinations in Greece to more Britons this year.
British Airways will launch 13 new services and some short-haul summer holiday destinations across Europe will also become more accessible. Travellers will be able to fly with British Airways from Heathrow to the Greek mainland region of Kalamata from April 30, with fares from £47 each way, while a new route to Chania will open up the attractive Cretan city to more visitors.
British visitors make up the biggest proportion of foreign visitors to Cyprus, which has not suffered as Turkey has done from fears of political instability.
