The first charter flight of 2016 landed at Chania Daskalogiannis International airport yesterday. It was a Norwegian Air direct flight from Copenhagen carrying 87 passengers.
Chania Chamber of Commerce representing the tourist industry had prepared a welcoming ceremony for the first visitors of the year.
From 23 April Norwegian will increase its flights from Copenhagen to Chania to three a week and from 12 June to four weekly.
The last flight of Norwegian for 2016 will be in 29 October.
