Airbus wins two orders in February and delivers 46 aircraft

Airbus expanded its best-selling A320 Family’s order book with an acquisition of two aircraft logged in February, while making 46 deliveries during the month from across its product line of single-aisle and widebody jetliners.

The two A320ceo (Current Engine Option) aircraft were ordered by an undisclosed customer, bringing total orders for Airbus’ popular single-aisle family to 12,463 in both the CEO and NEO (New Engine Option) versions.

Airbus deliveries in February were composed of 39 A320 Family jetliners, four A330s, one A350 XWB and two A380s.  Singapore Airlines became a new A350 XWB operator when taking delivery of their first A350-900 out of a total order for 67 placed by the carrier.

Taking the month’s orders and deliveries into account, the number of Airbus aircraft to be built and delivered as of 29 February stood at 6,774 jetliners, representing a 10-year backlog.
