Passenger traffic at Athens Airport rose by 10 percent compared to the same period in 2015 reaching 2.37 million people in August.
Domestic and international passengers recorded an increase of 10.8% and 9.6 % due to the growth of both Greek residents and foreign visitors by 11 percent and 10 percent respectively.
Throughout January-August 2016, passenger traffic amounted to 13.4 million up by 9.5 percent in comparison to last year as domestic passengers increased by 12.2% and international travellers by 8% while the number of flights reached 129.689 (+7.6%).
