Greek civil aviation workers cancel Thursday's strike

Greek civil aviation workers union OSYPA cancelled a called strike for Thursday after meeting with Infrastructure Minister Christos Spirtzis on Wednesday evening.

The union had announced the strike as a protest to the government’s draft bill which includes measures to restructure the Civil Aviation Authority. The strike would have started at 10:00 on Thursday and ended at midnight on Friday.

OSYPA said it had a “fruitful dialog” with the minister and said it will brief its staff on Thursday. After the union’s announcement, Aegean Airways and Olympic Air said all their flights will run as scheduled.
