Passenger traffic at Pafos International Airport in Cyprus reached 4.1 mn in the first six months of the year, registering a significant increase of 17.8%, as the airport marks ten years of operations.
Pafos International Airport was inaugurated on November 8, 2008, almost ten years ago.
According to Hermes, Pafos airport rose by 27% in the first ten years, and from 1.8 million passengers in 2006, last year it welcomed 2.3 million passengers.
It announced that in total, more than 12,700 jobs in the tourist industry across Cyprus, out of which 3.000 concern Pafos Airport exclusively, are sustained by the operation of the two international airports.
