Air traffic at Pafos International Airport has increased more than 40% in the past three years due to the right government policies and the cooperation with the Cyprus airports operator (Hermes), Minister of Transport, Communication and Works Marios Demetriades has announced.
Speaking to reporters after a visit to the Airport, Demetriades said he would promote in cooperation with Hermes schemes to boost winter tourism, increasing air traffic even further.
Demetriades added that air traffic so far increased at an annual 5% this year, below the respective increase at Larnaca Airport, noting however that it is important for new airlines to come to Pafos airport with new flights.
