Ionian Islands: New flight routes from Britain, Germany and Israel

New international flights to Greece’s Ionian Islands are being programmed for 2018.

More specifically, British Airways has launched a third flight from London Heathrow to Kefalonia, so that from now on there will be two flights every Saturday and one every Tuesday.

From Berlin’s Tegel (Txl) airport, for the first time, “Easy Jet” will carry out two flights a week to Corfu, from 01/08/2018 to 24/10/2018, every Wednesday and Sunday.

The carrier will also execute two flights a week to Kefalonia from 03/08/2018 to 26/10/2018, every Monday and Friday.

It is worth noting that Tegel Airport offers quick access to and from the center of Berlin.

Moreover, “Tous Air” carrier will fly to Kefalonia from Tel Aviv every Tuesday between 03/07/2018 to 25/09/2018, a route that is being serviced for the first time.

“This additional scheduling of flights not only confirms the Region’s forecast for an even better tourist season, but also emphasizes that the visibility of the Ionian Islands and the demand for their tourist product is constantly expanding in accordance to our plans”, underlines Deputy Regional Tourism Director Spyros Galiatsatos.
