Aegean Airlines will begin service to seven new international destinations from its hub in Athens in 2019, it announced in a statement on Wednesday, according to ANA.
The carrier is planning on increasing seat capacity by 700,000 on the international market. This will bringing the airline’s capacity on international routes up to 10.3 million, and on all its routes to 17.7 million, during the year 2019, according to ANA.
It also announced that it will offer more flights, and capacity, between Athens and leading European destinations such as Munich, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Hamburg, Zurich, Vienna, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon and Porto.
In addition, many other routes, including Athens to Luxembourg, Malta, Venice, Bologna, Naples, Catania and Malaga, will commence operation earlier in the season or with increased capacity while Aegean also said that it is considering increasing the number of seats on routes within the Balkan and East European markets.
