Air China has decided to continue operating three direct flights per week to Greece in the winter period. According to the Chinese air carrier, passenger traffic between Greece and China since the flights were established in September 2017 has been increasing rapidly and the airline is examining the possibility of a fourth direct Athens-Beijing flight in 2020, ANA reports.
The general director of Air China Fan Heyun noted that the company’s target is to support incoming and outgoing tourism to Greece and provide opportunities for both cultures to become better acquainted. “Even if Greece is a top tourist destination worldwide, the necessary promotion is needed in China in order for more and more Chinese to visit the country.”
