Greek Deputy Civil Defence and Crises Management Minister Nikos Hardialias paid a visit to Corfu airport at noon on Friday, continuing a tour of regional airports to inspect the health protection protocols in place for the pandemic, ahead of the resumption of international flights as of July 1, ANA reports.
Talking to reporters, he announced that a six-member team of Armed Forces personnel and of doctors and nurses assisted by police and fire brigade personnel will carry out 400 Covid-19 tests on samples collected each day at Corfu’s Ioannis Kapodistrias airport.
The minister’s next port of call after Corfu will be Ioannina airport on Friday afternoon, followed by Kalamata.
