Cyprus residents’ trips abroad increased by 68.3% in July, compared with the same month of 2020, but fell by 62.1% compared with July 2019, CNA reports.
“A total number of 62,961 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in July 2021, compared to 37,406 in the corresponding month last year, recording an increase of 68.3% and 62.1% decrease compared to July 2019,” the Statistical Service announced on Tuesday.
The main destination of the travelers was Greece, which accounted for 55% of the trips, followed by the United Kingdom with 4.7%, Italy with 4.2%, and Russia with 3.2%.
