Passenger traffic in Greek airports jumped 62.35 in the January-September period this year, compared with the corresponding period in 2020, Civil Aviation Authority said in a report on Thursday, according to ANA.
The total number of passengers traveling in Greek airports was 27,063,506 in the nine-month period, up 62.35 from 2020 (16,677,709), while the number of flights was 293,416 (122,496 domestic and 170,920 international), up 42.3% compared with the same period last year. The number of flights was down 32.3% compared with the nine-month period in 2019.
In September, international passenger traffic was up 110.5% and flights were up 59.6% compared with the same month last year. Passenger traffic totaled 6,335,953 in September, up 98.55 from September 2020, while in comparison with September 2019, passenger traffic dropped 25.7%.
