The assumption of initiatives to maintain the high levels of safety and good performances recently recorded for Greece and the Greek aviation ecosystem following ICAO inspections is a top priority for the Infrastructure and Transport Ministry. Greece has increased the levels of effective implementation of the international standards from 69.1 pct to 74.89 pct when the international average is 69.3 pct, ANA reports.
In this context, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Christos Staikouras met on Thursday with the Acting Executive Director of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency – EASA Luc Tytgat, and reaffirmed the significantly improved performances of Greece. Their talks also focused on the further deepening of cooperation for the preservation and strengthening of safety standards and regulation policies in the aviation sector in Greece.
