Passenger traffic at Athens Airport increased by 8.9% compared to the same month in 2024 during February 2025, reaching 1.75 million.
Both domestic and international passenger traffic exceeded 2024 levels by 2.3% and 11.9%, respectively.
Overall, during the first two months of the year, the airport’s traffic reached 3.59 million passengers, recording an increase of 11.7%.
Passenger traffic, both domestic and international, increased by 3.6% and 15.3%, respectively.
Flights in the first two months
The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first two months of 2025 amounted to 31,832, recording an increase of 8.2% compared to 2024. Domestic flights experienced a slight decrease of 2.1%, while international flights recorded an increase of 15.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2024.
- It is noted that February 2024 had an extra day (leap year – 29 days). In addition, on February 28, no flights took place in Greek airspace due to the nationwide general strike.
