Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Delta Air Lines were honored to host the 3rd Marine Day in Athens, welcoming more than 150 distinguished professionals and leaders from the Shipping and Offshore sectors. The event reaffirmed once again the three companies’ unwavering commitment to the maritime community and its pivotal role in connecting global markets and economic resilience.
Building on the success of previous years, Marine Day 2025 featured a dynamic program divided into two parts: an afternoon workshop with rich content and meaningful discussions, and an evening reception.
A forum for a global perspective and connectivity
During the afternoon session, experienced speakers analyzed the industry’s current challenges and innovations, the path to sustainability, and the future prospects for the maritime sector. Keynote speakers addressed, among others, the ever-changing workforce and the strategic role of emerging markets, emphasizing Marine Day as more than just a forum for exchange of views: a premier platform for professional networking and strategic dialogue on a global scale.
Recognition of a long-standing partnership
The event was attended by senior executives such as Mr. Noud Duyzings, Senior Vice President Europe of Air France-KLM, Ms. El?onore Tramus, General Manager Eastern Mediterranean, and Mr. Rob Wilkinson, Regional Sales Director EMEAI, Delta Air Lines, highlighting the high strategic importance of the maritime sector for the companies.
“Marine Day is not just a celebration—it is a confirmation of our shared commitment to global mobility and mutual support,” said Mr. Yiannis Pantazopoulos, Regional Director for Greece, Cyprus, and Turkey for Air France and KLM. “Our relationship with the maritime sector is based on trust, flexibility, and a deep understanding of the specific challenges faced by seafarers.”
For decades, Air France and KLM have pioneered specialized fares and travel solutions for the Maritime industry, providing crews with the flexibility they need through an extensive international network. In partnership with Delta Air Lines, the global alliance continues to deliver reliable, seamless, and tailored service to its maritime customers.

An evening of celebration
The evening reception was an opportunity to recognize the valuable trust and support of our maritime partners, as well as to strengthen ties in a vital industry.
Marine Day has now established itself as a premier point of reference for the maritime and aviation communities—a platform for strategic dialogue, inspiration, and collaboration.
