SKY Express further strengthens its fleet with the addition of a new Airbus A320neo, a modern aircraft that combines leading technology, high performance, and a significantly reduced environmental footprint. This is the 11th Airbus A320neo and the 28th aircraft in total, as part of the company’s consistent development strategy.
At the same time, SKY continues to have the youngest aircraft fleet in Greece, with an average age of just 4.5 years for the Airbusneo and 2.7 years for the ATR 72-600, constantly upgrading the travel experience of its passengers.
The new aircraft features modern seats with integrated USB ports, significantly reduced cabin noise levels, and state-of-the-art CFM LEAP-1A engines, with reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions. This choice confirms the company’s commitment to investing exclusively in technologically advanced aircraft in order to support its ever-expanding network.
The choice of the latest generation engines is a conscious strategic decision by SKY Express to integrate technologies that significantly reduce emissions and noise, while enhancing flight performance and reliability. It is worth noting that SKY is the only Greek company operating with this type of engine, faithful to its commitment to technological excellence and environmental responsibility.
Recently, the company announced five new international destinations, confirming its dynamic growth, reaching a total of 26 international destinations while continuing to maintain the largest network within Greece with 33 destinations.
By the fall of 2025, the integration of another Airbus 320neo is expected, strengthening the company’s fleet, which will now number 29 aircraft.
Mr. George Lioumis, General Manager of SKY Express, stated: “The receipt of the new Airbus A320neo marks another substantial step in our development path. Our investment in modern aircraft with the latest generation engines and an optimal environmental footprint reflects SKY Express’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, creating an important legacy for the future of aviation in Greece. We thank Airbus, which gives us the tools to evolve and provide our passengers with the best level of service and unique travel experiences.”
