Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines have announced a further deepening of their long-standing commercial partnership through a strategic agreement that comes into effect in August 2025. This new phase of cooperation includes joint fare sales, additional codeshare routes, and reciprocal airport lounge access—enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.
Unified Booking and Seamless Travel
Starting in August, passengers will be able to book flights from both airlines under a single booking code, offering greater convenience, more route options, and a wider fare selection—especially for those traveling between Singapore and Indonesia.
New Codeshare Destinations
The agreement significantly expands the codeshare network of both airlines. Garuda Indonesia passengers will gain access to four Singapore Airlines destinations:
Bangalore
Kolkata
Delhi (India)
Mal? (Maldives)
In return, Singapore Airlines passengers will be able to travel under codeshare to popular Indonesian destinations, including:
From Denpasar to Labuan Bajo
From Jakarta to Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and Manado
Existing codeshare flights between Singapore and the Indonesian cities of Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya will remain in place, along with Singapore Airlines flights to London Heathrow and Mumbai.
Loyalty Program Benefits
Starting mid-August, members of GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer loyalty programs will enjoy mutual lounge access at major airports. For flights between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya, eligible passengers can access:
Garuda Executive Lounge
KrisFlyer Gold Lounge
Business Class SilverKris Lounge
This is in addition to the continued reciprocal earning and redemption of miles on the expanded codeshare routes—a collaboration first launched in February 2025.
Increased Frequencies and Growth Momentum
Singapore Airlines has already increased its Singapore–Jakarta flight frequency to nine daily flights (from eight) as of May 2025. Garuda Indonesia plans to expand to seven daily flights on the same route in Q4 2025, pending regulatory approval.
Strengthening Bilateral and Strategic Ties
This new phase strengthens not only the operational collaboration between the two national carriers but also enhances overall connectivity between Indonesia and Singapore.
Wamildan Tsani, President and CEO of Garuda Indonesia, stated:
“With expanded connectivity and integrated services, this partnership provides a platform for enhancing bilateral relations between Indonesia and Singapore.”
Goh Choon Phong, CEO of Singapore Airlines, added:
“Through this partnership, we combine our strengths to elevate the travel experience and support the growth of air travel between Singapore, Indonesia, and beyond.”
