The series of increases in passenger traffic at Athens Airport continues in July, although on a smaller scale compared to the first months of the year. According to the airport’s preliminary traffic statistics, passenger traffic in July 2025 recorded an increase of 4.1% compared to July 2024 levels, with total monthly traffic reaching 3.76 million, compared to 3.6 million in the corresponding month last year.
A strong increase was recorded in international passenger traffic (+5.4%), which amounted to 2.65 million compared to 2.51 million last year, while domestic traffic also increased by 1.2% and amounted to 1.1 million.
In the first seven months of 2025, passenger traffic at “El. Venizelos” recorded an increase of 6.9% and amounted to 18.83 million compared to 17.6 million in the first seven months of 2024, with the strongest increase recorded in international traffic (+8.9%), which amounted to 13.48 million compared to 12.37 million in the corresponding period last year. At the same time, domestic traffic stood at 5.3 million, up 2% compared to the first seven months of 2024.
The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first seven months of 2025 amounted to 159,665, recording an increase of 6.2% compared to 2024. Domestic flights increased by 1.3%, while international flights increased by 9.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2024.
