Ryanair enters the digital age – Boarding passes to be fully digital from November 12

From Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Ryanair will implement fully digital boarding passes, the company announced today, moving the original date of November 3. The change aims to ensure a smooth transition for passengers after the busy mid-term holiday period.

According to the announcement, from November 12, passengers will no longer be able to print physical boarding passes. Instead, they will have to use the digital boarding pass generated in the myRyanair app during check-in.

Ryanair emphasizes that around 80% of its 206 million passengers already use digital boarding passes, while the company has also introduced other digital features to enhance the travel experience, such as:

Order to Seat | Order food and drinks from your mobile for priority service.
Live Flight Information | Real-time updates on gates, boarding and delays.
Direct Disruption Updates | Instant notifications from Ryanair’s Operations Centre in the event of delays.
Ryanair CMO Dara Brady says the digital card, combined with the features of the myRyanair app, offers a faster, easier and greener travel experience.

Ryanair’s move follows other industries, such as festivals and sporting events, that have already turned to digital tickets, marking the acceleration of the airline industry’s digital transition.
