AEGEAN invests in next generation of pilots – New cycle of Scholarship Program

Applications open until December 21, 2025 with tuition coverage and immediate professional rehabilitation for another 40 pilot candidates

AEGEAN announces the start of another cycle of the Pilot Scholarship Program that it has been implementing since 2018, offering 40 young men and women the opportunity to pursue a career as professional pilots this year. The program, which covers most of the tuition costs for obtaining a professional civil aviation degree, aims to shape the next generation of the company’s pilots, while contributing to the long-term strengthening and development of the aviation industry in Greece.

Since 2018, the AEGEAN Pilot Scholarship Program has already given the opportunity to more than 240 young men and women to take their first steps in the aviation industry. Of these, 130 have already completed their training and are currently in the cockpits of the AEGEAN and Olympic Air fleets, while another 110 candidates are currently in training. In collaboration with two of the most recognized aviation schools in Greece, Global Aviation and Egnatia Aviation, AEGEAN ensures that participants receive comprehensive theoretical and practical training, necessary for obtaining a professional pilot license. After completing the program and obtaining a professional civil aviation license, candidates continue their training in the aircraft type at the new AEGEAN?CAE Flight Training Center, which is located in the company’s new technical base. With the successful completion of their studies, their immediate professional rehabilitation in the cockpits of AEGEAN and OLYMPIC Air aircraft is also ensured.

The program, which lasts up to 20 months, essentially facilitates the access of young talents to a demanding and high-cost professional training, where the total cost of training for each pilot exceeds 90,000 euros. AEGEAN’s total investment in the Pilot Scholarship Program to date exceeds 15 million euros, confirming its long-term commitment to the development of new professionals in the industry. A similar program is also being implemented for the training of Aircraft Engineers.

Applications for the new scholarship cycle have already started and interested parties can submit their application by December 21, 2025, through the specially designed program website here.

Interested parties can see the detailed terms and conditions for their participation in the Pilot Scholarship Program on the AEGEAN website here and contact us for any additional clarifications or information via email at pilotscholarships@aegeanair.com.
