Air France and KLM, as part of their corporate social responsibility and sustainability actions implemented internationally, supported another voluntary beach cleanup in Greece, in collaboration with HELMEPA (Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association) and ATPI.
The action took place on Saturday, October 18th on Flisvos beach with the participation of volunteers from all the companies and is part of the series of cleanups to which they have committed. Air France and KLM have “adopted” this particular beach for the coming period.
The initiative is part of HELMEPA’s cleanup program, which is based on the principle of citizen science and combines waste collection with its recording and analysis through the Marine Debris Tracker application, contributing substantially to the study and prevention of marine pollution. HELMEPA ensured that participants were informed and trained on the methodology to be followed to ensure the correct recording of the results.
With actions such as the cleanup of Flisvos, Air France and KLM confirm that real change begins with collaboration, awareness and collective action for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
ATPI, a leading global travel and event management company, actively participated in the action, confirming its commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness.
