AEGEAN, with its volunteer team “AEGEAN Santa Crew,” brought the Christmas spirit to students in remote areas for the 5th consecutive year, creating special holiday moments and offering experiences of creativity, joy, and inspiration.
On December 3, 2025, volunteers and crews from AEGEAN and Olympic Air traveled with three special flights to Lemnos, Alexandroupolis, Kos, Samos, and Kythira, delivering gifts, holiday cheer, and materials for creating Christmas decorations through upcycling. At the primary schools in these areas, volunteers, in collaboration with We4all, participated with the children in educational workshops, making ornaments from reusable and natural materials. Each classroom and schoolyard transformed into a small Christmas workshop full of laughter, play, and creativity, where the children enthusiastically experienced the magic of the holidays.
The students welcomed the volunteers and crews with particular enthusiasm, returning the joy of the visit with carols, treats, gifts, and small surprises from the children themselves, the teachers who embraced the initiative from the beginning, and the parent-teacher associations. The childrens creations immediately adorned the schoolrooms, adding a warmer and more festive atmosphere, while the gifts offered by AEGEAN gave their day an extra celebratory touch. At the same time, AEGEAN responded to the needs of each school unit by providing the opportunity to procure technological equipment, materials, or other essential items, actively contributing to improving the daily lives of the students.
“It is always special for us to be close to the children, especially in remote areas of Greece where they dont often have the chance to participate in such initiatives. The response from the students and teachers was moving and gave us immense joy, while our volunteers, as always, were the heart of this effort. With their commitment, consistency, and boundless energy, the AEGEAN Santa Crew team is growing, evolving, and strengthening,” said Marina Valvi, AEGEAN’s Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications. “Since its early days, AEGEAN has stood by local communities, supporting initiatives and creating actions that promote education, environmental protection, culture, and the overall well-being of the new generation.”
AEGEAN extends heartfelt thanks to the principals, teaching staff, and parent associations of the participating schools for their excellent cooperation, as well as to We4all for its invaluable contribution to organizing and implementing the creative workshops. Through actions like this, AEGEAN and the “AEGEAN Santa Crew” continue to bring the holidays and creativity even closer to the children of Greece, traveling to every corner of the country with the constant aim of strengthening and supporting local communities.
