Dozens of restaurants from all over Greece were distinguished during the Golden Bonnets 2016 awards ceremony organized by Athinorama magazine on Monday at the “Grande Bretagne” hotel Ball Room.
More specifically, 24 restaurants were awarded Golden Bonnets, while another 34 won the Greek Cusine Distinction.
Out of the 24 “Golden Bonnets”, 11 are located in Athens, 3 in Chalkidiki and Crete and the rest on Greek islands such as Santorini, Mykonos, Corfu and Patmos.
The criteria taken into account for rating the restaurants were the quality of raw materials, cooking technique-skill of the chef, the harmony and balance of flavors, the originality and imaginative combinations, the aesthetic appearance of the dishes and the overall impression generated by all these specific elements.
