Greek delicacy of "gyros" takes over Moscow

Greek cuisine has been known to excite many tourists during their stay in the country.

The “horiatiki” or Greek village salad with feta cheese and tzatziki along with the world famous souvlaki are some of the delicious foods travelers taste and never forget.

This simple yet undeniable truth was put to use in Moscow by two Greek brothers, Alekos and Gordios Iliopoulos.

They envisioned a chain of restaurants with the legendary Greek “gyros” as their main specialty and called it “Gokos” by combining syllables from their first names.

According to the two brothers, their aim is to offer the most delicious souvlaki in Moscow, combined with an atmosphere that refers to Greece, but not restricted to antiquity.

Thanks to the opening of new restaurants, Alekos and Gordios Iliopoulos are looking for new staff such as cooks, chefs and cashiers.

New Gokos restaurants locations include:

  • Noviy Arbat str. 11 building.1, Arbatskaya Metro Station
  • Usachevskiy Market, Usacheva str. 26, Sportivnaya Metro Station
  • Moskvoretskiy market, Simferopolskiy Avenue 11/11, Nakhimovskiy Prospekt Metro Station
