Putin invites Greek Prime Minister to visit Russia

Newly re-elected Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited Greek PM Alexis Tsipras to visit Russia, Kremlin announced after the telephone conversation of the Greek Premier with the Russian President, on Wednesday, where the Greek Premier congratulated the latter on his recent reelection. According to the announcement of Kremlin, the two heads of states confirmed their intention for further development of the Greek-Russian partnership.

“The strengthening of the cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian fields was stressed”, says the announcement, adding, “Current issues of European security, as well as the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean were discussed.”
