Products from the Thessalian land will promote Greece in Morocco, as this implies the launch of a business mission of the Region of Thessaly to the North African region in the near future. The meeting was preceded by a meeting between the Governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Greece, Mohammed Sbihi, in the previous days. The meeting, which took place in a particularly positive atmosphere, essentially marked the beginning of a collaboration with the potential for significant benefits for the producers of the region.
The Moroccan Ambassador even expressed strong interest in importing products from the Elassona District, such as feta cheese, honey, and aromatic plants, but also for the aromatic plants of the Municipality of Almyros and of course olive oil. It is noteworthy that the ambassador’s interest in aromatic plants was strengthened by reading scientific research by the Regional Governor and Professor of Biochemistry, Dimitris Kouretas, which highlighted the nutritional and medicinal properties of these herbs.
