From March 6 to 9, 2025, the heart of Greek beekeeping beats in Piraeus. There, under the auspices of the Municipality of Piraeus, the Honey & Bee Products Festival is taking place, in which 50 beekeepers from every corner of Greece will participate.
From Crete and the Peloponnese to Macedonia and Epirus, producers who dedicate their lives to the bee will be in Korai Square, presenting pure, quality honey products. With hard work and passion, beekeepers bring us authentic Greek honey, as well as pollen, royal jelly, bee balm, propolis, and honeycomb.
The Honey Festival is a unique opportunity to get to know the people behind honey, to taste unique varieties from all over Greece, and to discover the nutritional value and therapeutic properties of bee products.
A sweet record in the heart of Piraeus!
The students of IEK ALFA Piraeus, under the supervision of Chef Sarantos Papadopoulos, are preparing a unique sweet achievement: the largest 20-meter halva with honey!
Throughout the festival, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy:
Tastings of excellent honeys from producers
Presentations of beekeeping techniques & traditional practices
Culinary creations based on honey
Speeches by experts on the beneficial effects of honey
Workshops for children & interactive events
